2 big clay kits + private workshop for 2

The class

Get two big kits and a 2 hour private session to learn about clay and about basic hand building techniques. We will explore the beauty of the medium and I will demonstrate a few basic hand building techniques. We will then make something together. Great as a couple's or friend gift.

The kit

Air-dry clay does not need to be fired in a kiln and is very easy to work with. After working with it, it will dry out completely in around 3 to 4 days (depending on the thickness of the piece). Once dry, the piece can be decorated with acrylic paints and then made water resistant with a sealant. Important: even after the sealant is applied, pieces made with air-dry clay are NOT water or food safe. They should be use for decorative purposes only

The kit contains (The tools provided in the box may vary from the photos, depending on our suppliers. The clay may also come packaged a little differently depending on my supplies!):

• 1kg of clay (pick whether you want the white or terracotta clay)

• 1 metal rib

• 1 tool to cut

• 1 rolling pin  (may be without handles depending on our suppliers)

• 1 sponge

• Metallic acrylic colours: 4 tubes of high quality acrylic colours (12ml each): bronze, copper, silver and gold

• 2 wooden tools

• 1 brush to paint

• Bi-lingual (German and English) professionally printed booklet with 60 pages of tips in total to get started, 3 different projects and inspiration. Truly a mini-class in itself!
