A hand-built cup, textured with the Rosmarinium pattern. These cups were fired in a pit firing, the most ancient technique to fire pottery. The process involves wrapping pieces in sulfates and salt and letting fire and smoke impart their unique colors on the work. No effect can be reproduced twice. 

Due to the nature of the firing and the low temperatures reached, these pieces are not functional. They should not be used for drinking or eating. 

The cup measures ca 7cm in diameter and around 7cm in height.

As there are multiple available, the cup you will receive may vary slightly from the photo .

The Rosmarinium pattern is inspired by the works of baroque Italian artist Giovanna Garzoni, to whom this entire collection is dedicated.
